Why Clean Water Matters
Many rural communities depend on rivers, ponds, streams, rainfall, or distant unsafe water sources.
Women and girls often carry the burden of walking long distances to fetch water.
Unsafe water exposes families to waterborne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, diarrhea, and dysentery.
Water scarcity affects school attendance, especially for girls, and reduces time for learning and income-generating activities.
Access to clean water improves health, hygiene, dignity, education, agriculture, and community resilience.
